Kite's trademark weapon as a ninja is a knife on a metal wire, which he uses as an offensive weapon (ie. to choke someone with), as a grappling hook, or as a conduit through which to discharge his electricity. He also carries a variety of throwing knifes on him as well as a katana for backup. When Kite's on duty, he wears dark, close fitting clothes and a dark black coat that reaches his knees. He keeps his hair slicked back and wears contacts as well.

Kite possesses the ability to generate and discharge electricity through a conductive media such as metal or water (but not through air or concrete), at sufficiently high amounts to kill grown men or short out a building's electrical systems.

He can also summon carrion crows like any other hunter and uses it to dispose of dead bodies.

Kite also has a martial arts based technique called Shukuchihou, which can be used to sneak up on his enemies. This technique gives the impression that the executor is able move a certain distance in a single step.

history;
Kite is the first ninja in his family. At first, his family let him enroll in the ninja academy, thinking it was just a phase and he would drop out within a few months. However, Kite went on to graduate within 2 years of being at the academy when he was 11 and was promoted to Chuunin when he was 14.

At seventeen, when the village elders were going to promote him to a Jounin, he asked to join the hunters instead. Family pressure was mounting on him to quit, and Kite has decided that this was a good way to make them happy as well as being able to use his ninja skills for the village.

His family strongly disapproved of him becoming a ninja and was relieved when he quit, or so they think. They have no idea that he is an active hunter-nin in the service of the village.

if anbu/hunter-nin, what do they do in the village when not on missions?
When he's not on missions in a village, he runs a small ramen stand in the open market area with an assistant cook to take over when he's out of the village. Common belief is that he finally bowed to his family's wishes and retired from ninja service when he reached Chunin to start his own business. On his off duty days, Kite wears a pair of half-rimmed glasses and doesn't bother with the hair gel and wears loose, casual clothing. If he's working in his ramen stand, he wears a chef's hat and an apron as well. Kite is known to leave the village from time to time to go on ingredient buying expeditions which is a cover-up for his ninja work.
